dreamed of running a large transportation company, but life threw him into
trucking industry unexpectedly after he got his degree in Business Administration
from University of Illinois. One of his friends offered him a semi-truck
driving job, as a way to make money while he figures his life out. He drove as a company driver for several
different companies trying to find a good home for himself but only to realize
that the industry deserved better treatment for both drivers and customers so
he decided to learn as much as possible from others so that one day he could
start his own company. He bought his
first semi-truck in 2017 and that was the start of his big dreams…
2019
In July 2019, Pavle bought Avala Express LLC, a small 2 truck company. We established our office in Serbia to support our operations in the USA, with Jenny, Pavle’s sister running the Serbian Office. Avala hired their first dispatcher who is still with us, Nemanja (Nick) Nikolic.
2020
1st employee in the USA was hired, Dusan Ognjanovic, currently the COO of Avala Express LLC. We continued to grow and by the end of the year we had close to 30 trucks. We established great partnership with Kriete Truck Center who helped us grow and who we still do great business with today.
2021
In May 2021 we moved from a small office space with 1 semi-truck bay to our current location in Franksville, WI. At the end of the year, we had about 70 trucks.

Bought 28 acres of land for our future headquarters in Caledonia, WI. We are expecting construction to begin in 2025 with the plan to move when our lease expires at our current location in April 2026.
